3rd Meeting of Spanish Design Associations 3ENAD
Hosted at La Térmica, a creative co-working space in Málaga, this event brought together more than one hundred designers, entrepreneurs, policymakers and teachers to meet and identify potential ways of collaboration to promote the role of design in Spain.
As part of the event Steve Harding and Alexa Torlo from Birmingham University ran a session on behalf of Design for Europe. They provided a complete overview of the project, its goals, members and tools for sharing knowledge – encouraging Spanish professionals to take advantage of this platform. They also presented the main EU programmes that support design-driven innovation and the creative industries.
Following the presentation they organized a hands-on workshop to encourage debate and propose concrete actions to take in the forthcoming months. The aim being to create an environment in which design-driven innovation can act as catalyst for sustainable economic growth in Spain, including the potential of a national design policy.
