Overview

On 2 June Surgenia and the Spanish Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology are hosting a workshop on 'Design-driven innovation for the new challenges ahead'.

The aim of this event is to raise awareness among Spanish businesses (mainly SMEs) about the main drivers for change at a social, economic, and technological level. And how design can be a powerful tool for translating them into innovation opportunities in products, interiors and services.

After introductory presentations on current trends, and design as a driver for innovation, attendees will have a chance to develop their skills in one of three workshops:

  • Trend-driven innovation
  • Design to overcome challenges
  • Drafting R&D projects

Following the workshops a panel debate will explore the role of design to overcome the challenges for Spanish businesses and discuss further steps to promote design-driven innovation in Spain at a policy level.

The working language of this event will be Spanish.
