Rasmus is CEO and Founder of Creative Business Cup, a global competition for entrepreneurs from the creative industries.
He has worked as Managing Director of CKO – Center for Cultural and Experience Economy (2009-15). Chairman of the European Creative Industries Alliance, appointed by the European Commission (2012-15). Co-chair of OMC Group on Access to Finance for Cultural and Creative Sectors (2014-15). Advisory Board Member Wallonia European Creative District, Copenhagen Business School, Master in Management of Creative Business Processes. Member of the Board for the Danish Cultural Institute and Roskilde Business College.
Rasmus is passionate about promoting entrepreneurship and growth in the creative industries and cross sector innovation. He is a lecturer on the subject of “Creative Industries: Business, Innovation and Politics” and lectures internationally in French, English, German and Swedish. Rasmus has 19 years of experience related to the creative industries.
Born 1968, with a MA Political Science, but with creative DNA, as an 18-year-old he won a Scandinavian graphic design competition and in 2009 was part of the team that won 1st Prize for the Masterplan for Nordhavnen, a part of Copenhagen.
He was formerly: Member of the board of VEGA, 2002-11, Scandinavia’s leading concert hall; Member of the City of Copenhagen’s Creative Forum, 2008-11; Official Speaker for the European Commission DG Education and Culture, 1997-2008; Marketing Director, Roskilde Festival, 1998-2003; Co-presenter, France 2 – France Television, 1998-99.
